Monday April 30, 2007
Ecumenical Service:
In late April, Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I. welcomed over 500 guests to an ecumenical and interreligious celebration for his tenth anniversary as Archbishop of Chicago, under the banner, “Gratitude for the Past, Hopes for the Future: Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I. in Conversation With His Ecumenical and Interreligious Neighbors.” A picture presentation of ecumenical and interreligious events began the evening, followed by Cardinal George’s address on the theme and four responses by Greek Orthodox, Lutheran, Jewish and Muslim leaders.
