The Cardinal continues to recover although his recuperation is not as quick as he would like it to be. He has been bothered by bouts of pain that will limit his ability to be up and about. Each day, however, he has been participating in physical therapy. All vital signs remain stable and there is no fever. There is no evidence of any bleeding. The area of inflammation noted yesterday appears to be responding to medication. His progress has been steady but slow, which is not a surprise given the complexity of his cancer surgery.
