2008 Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage - August 4-8

Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., led a group of 190 people from the Archdiocese of Chicago on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Lourdes. During the weeklong pilgrimage, Cardinal George celebrated Masses at the Grotto, in the underground Basilica of St. Pius X, and in the town of Lourdes. He led a torchlight rosary procession, a Eucharistic procession and the Way of the Cross with Chicago pilgrims at sites in and around the Grotto at Lourdes.
