CARDINAL GEORGE TO DISCUSS
POPE'S VISIT ON
THE CHURCH, THE CARDINAL AND YOU

During his six-day historic visit to the United States, Pope Benedict XVI made several stops in Washington and New York. He addressed the United Nations, prayed with abuse victims, went to Ground Zero, and celebrated Mass with tens of thousands of Catholic faithful at Nationals Park and Yankee Stadium.

Cardinal Francis George was at the Pope’s side throughout the visit. The Cardinal gives his insight on Pope Benedict’s US tour in this very special edition of The Church, the Cardinal and You, a monthly production of the Television and Radio Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Comcast customers who live in Chicago and throughout the suburbs can see The Church, the Cardinal and You every Sunday at 1 p.m. on CN-100, the Comcast Network (Channel 100). The program is seen each Friday at 7 p.m. on Chicago Loop Cable Channel 25.

Easter Season Mystagogical Preaching

Easter Season Mystagogical Preaching offered our ancestors at the Table of the Word the opportunity to deepen the faith-life of the newly initiated. The Paschal Mystery and the Sacraments of Holy Week became the major filter for all preaching, especially during the Sundays of Easter. This preaching deepens the faith for the whole community! Click on any of the photos above for audio versions of the homily for this Sunday. The links below contain a written explanation of Mystagogical preaching and catechetical materials describing the seven sacraments in three languages.
