  COALITION TO HOST PUBLIC HEARING ON IMMIGRATION ISSUES AFFECTING PEOPLE IN NORTHERN COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES  
 

Who: The Vicariate I Office for Hispanic Catholics and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights in conjunction with Latinos Unidos de Lake County, the Sikh Religious Society, Latino Leadership Project and the Islamic Foundation North.

What: Community representatives from Lake and north suburban Cook County will be participating in a public hearing on immigration issues. There will also be a time for individual comments, stories, testimonies, and questions from the general audience. All of the community is invited to attend. Congressman Mark Kirk or a representative of the congressman is scheduled to attend.

When: Monday, August 11, 2003, 7:00 p.m.

Why: To inform the community and public officials about immigration issues important to those in this area.

Where: The Koenig Center, St. Joseph’s Parish, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville. Just off of Route 21/Milwaukee Ave., 1 block North of Route 176.
